There are very few brands that have stuck to their roots and continue to stay true. Sebago is definitely one of those brands, no question. You might know about my collaborative efforts with Sebago since June of 2010 when The Nexus Project launched. It goes much further than that, I was selling Sebago ever since the mid 90′s and I’ve been in love with the product ever since.

This capsule marks the 6th season of Ronnie Fieg for Sebago collections. I find that the more I work with this brand, the more I feel like both names are synonymous. This collection consists of 8 styles, all of which are very different from one another. For the first installment, I chose to release the Schooner in blotched camouflage leather and an oily coffee brown leather Dockside. This version of the Dockside is as classic as you will find but with a premium twist, and the Schooner is a new upper that is a bit different from what I have worked on in the past. The extra quarter panel comes across and up the toe adds some body and provides a different feel for the traditional boat shoe. The Schooner sits on a white Campside outsole which is my personal favorite for deck soles, the mini wedge is a perfect detail to differentiate the Schooner from the rest.

Both styles are crafted with a handsewn moccasin construction and made with full grain pull-up leather. Details include functional rawhide laces and leather socklining. Ronnie Fieg for Sebago adds two special models to their Fall/Winter 2012 line-up. The Bergen boot, now in brown or burgundy, comes specially designed with premium Horween leathers for a slick city look and all-terrain feel. Extra details include corrosive-resistant Sebago eyelets to uphold against harsh elements and a Vibram lug soles for practicality. The King’s Point boot features a full black Horween leather upper that sits on top of a contrasted goodyear welted Vibram outsole. Tied together with leather laces, other key additions include the double padded leather collar and removeable kiltie. The latest release from the Ronnie Fieg for Sebago Fall/Winter 2012 collection are two new Iroquois Lux boots ready to ease the transition of Fall to Winter. The popular style returns with its staple handsewn construction in olive and denim color choices. The olive colorway is built with a full nubuck upper that’s soft to the touch, while the denim option features a denim designed front and smooth nubuck rear. Both styles sit on Vibram soles that offer the stability needed as the temperature drops. Key details include a removable fringe collar allowing the boot to be worn with any style and durable leather laces bringing to all together. Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette is a good friend of mine. I’ve know him for years and have really enjoyed watching his work over at Street Etiquette evolve and get the recognition that he and Travis deserve. Their work has inspired me all the way back to the early days of my relationship with Sebago and developing many projects since. Working with Joshua in the past has always been a pleasure and his support has been invaluable when moving forward. Josh’s style is a mix of bold refinement while remaining accessible, perfect for the Kith Blue Label. The look that he chose has clean lines and tailored fits while still keeping comfortable. The first drops from the Ronnie Fieg for Sebago Fall/Winter 2012 collection have just landed. First up, the line presents two luxury Seneca boots ($150 USD) in all black Horween leather and grey nubuck. Although two different material offerings, both products come laced with rawhide laces and corrosive-resistant Sebago eyelets. Key details include whip stitching on the toebox, a branded leather plug on the bottom of the shoe and a reworked Campside sole. Next are two Bleeker boots ($180 USD), one in all brown Horween leather and the other in all grey nubuck. The boot stands comfortably on a long lasting Vibram sole and features leather lining and leather pull tabs. The style includes full brogue detailing throughout that’s set for any occasion. As with all Sebago products, you can expect a true handsewn construction that’s built last. May 2012 welcomes three new models from the Ronnie Fieg by Sebago Spring/Summer 2012 collection. After previously dropping two Docksides earlier last month I’d like to introduce to you the Mohican for men and two special women models, the Spinnaker and the Angelique.

The Mohican ($130 USD) is a new model from Sebago that features a handsewn genuine moc construction that wraps the foot in a single piece of rich moist suede. The shoe grabs inspiration from my previous fringe collar dockside, the Abenaki Low, but these stand on top of a Campside sole delivering seamless comfort and hardwearing durability with the Ronnie Fieg plug on the bottom of the outsole. Releasing today is the Scarlett and Sand suede colorways.

The first women’s release for the season is the Spinnaker shoe ($95 USD). The Spinnaker reinterprets the classic Dockside style in a two-color upper with crazy horse leather in a sangria red with brown ankle detailing, all sitting on top of rubber slip-resistant Dockside soles. The Angelique ($130 USD) is Sebago’s Beacon boot with a personalized cut out on the ankle for women. The summer boot features dimpled leathers and a kiltie on the front as well as a colorway influenced by leopard prints, offering a clean switch-up for all women this season.
