New Balance reaches out to Hong Kong based hip-hop star Eric Kot and AAAA (Asia Acts Against AIDS) to design a new mid-top H574 colorway for a good cause. A hiking-inspired silhouette, the H574 features burnt orange suede, black lining, grey ENCAP midsoles and gum rubber outsoles for durability. The Eric Kot x AAAA x New Balance H574 will be available at Kith Manhattan and KithNYC.com starting Friday, December 21st, 2012 for $160 USD. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the ongoing fight against AIDS.

The New Balance 574 “Independence Day” Pack comes made up of three highly anticipated colorways that all sport red, white and blue. The 574 model is “Made in USA” and includes the popular branding on the heel. Each shoe features suede, mesh and leather detailing on the upper along with extra support thanks to the ENCAP midsole that wraps it all up. Available now at Kith Manhattan and online at KithNYC.com for $120 USD, purchase all three styles from the pack while they last.

For Spring 2012 New Balance introduces two blue 996 and 574 sneaker models. The Denim Blue 996 ($130 USD) features light blue suede and breathable mesh uppers with grey and white accenting. Standard details include “Made In USA,” ENCAP midsoles with supportive cushioning and a classic retro-styled design. The lighter colored 574 ($68 USD) shoe offers the same light blue suede aesthetic and a breathable mesh upper, along with grey and white accenting seen throughout. This model includes classic styling on the classic runner design. Check out these now at Kith NYC stores and KithNYC.com today to purchase.

There’s plenty of gems in the New Balance Spring 2012 collection. Everything from the 574 to 1300CL to Pro Courts and more with choices in both bright or shaded colorways. From the collection you’ll find the brand’s 576 model in a special edition “Road To London” pack ($190 USD) preparing for the 2012 Olympics. The shoes come constructed with suede, treated canvas and finished with a C-CAP for supportive cushioning and a classic design. The popular 574 shoe ($70 USD) returns in a premium retro-style with ENCAP midsoles. The low rise Pro Court model ($60 USD) is reissued in the brand’s original tennis sneaker design featuring canvas/nylon detailing and classic rubber toe caps. Finally, the previously debuted 1300CL model ($140 USD) released yesterday and includes premium materials equipped for rigorous performance. This New Balance model releases every few years and now comes in an all grey nubuck and steel blue mesh upper with navy accenting and ENCAP soles. The New Balance 574 is a staple. It’s one of those styles that will never go away, a basic yet iconic style that will continue to grow in the New Balance catalog. For Spring of 2011 New Balance will release two new colorways that have caught my attention, a dope all grey suede with a perforated toe box and subtle black accents and a Dark Aqua/Greenish suede with the traditional mesh toe box. Expect to see both styles next spring in select New Balance retailers.
