I’ve never been to Pittsburgh so when I got the phone call about the Invigorate Your Sole Lecture at Carnegie Mellon University, I was excited to get on board. I’m still not sure on how I feel about speaking engagements, I don’t believe I have accomplished half of what my goals are so it’s a little weird for me. The truth is, I don’t believe I’m doing anything that others can’t do. All it took was work and dedication. Come see on Monday to hear more about the process and how to get it going in this industry. Seats are limited, be sure to RSVP at http://on.fb.me/XZUjNX.

The wait is over.

The “Total Eclipse/Leather Toes” are dropping this Saturday. The materials and colorway help us transition comfortably into this time of the year. The premium nubuck and leather chosen for production are a bit thicker than leathers used on my previous ASICS releases to accommodate for colder climates. The color blocking is similar to the previous “Leather Back” release, one of my favorite designs, where the toe is a separate color and material from the rest of the shoe. The Gel Lyte III features a split tongue entrance laced with red/black round laces to bring out the body’s coloring. The concept behind the “Total Eclipse” was to use the darkest shade of navy and have the actual effect of an Eclipse, where the colors go from very dark to pitch black. The hit of red helps differentiate between navy and black, breaking up the colors up in a subtle way.

You can purchase the Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel Lyte III “Total Eclipse/Leather Toes” at Kith NYC stores and KithNYC.com for $145 USD starting this Saturday, November 10th at 11am EST.

To purchase in-store, swing by either Kith NYC location to put your name on a list for an opportunity to purchase this Saturday, November 10th.

Hitting newsstands March 12th, New York Magazine presents their annual ‘Best of New York 2012′ issue. The cover is done by artist Steve Powers (also known as ESPO) who beat out Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller, Jason Kernevich and Dustin Summers, and illustrator Christoph Niemann. It’s an honor to be selected in the “Best Sneakers” category for the magazine where they did a writeup on Kith Brooklyn. Check out the writeup below:

“Just down the block from the forthcoming Barclays Center, this men’s shoe store has sneakers for sporty, splashy, and understated sensibilities. It’s the brainchild of Ronnie Fieg, an obsessive collector (and former David Z stock boy) who now collaborates on shoe designs with brands like Asics and Sebago. Unlike Soho’s tourist-slammed sneaker stores, this spot has an upscale feel while still offering about twenty brands, including hard-to-find labels like Amsterdam’s Filling Pieces and London’s Swear.”

Shout out to Danny Kim who took this amazing picture of a few of our sneakers.
