Probably my favorite word in the English language. It’s what some of us strive for, design for, blog for, and live for. When asked what super powers I would want, at age 13 my answer was the ability to influence. Putting my ideas and designs out there and giving the people what I feel is missing in the market place feels great, it’s one of my greatest achievements. Having people react and actually wear my designs is where the influence kicks in. The message I’m trying to relay to the public lies with my designs; a combination of quality, uniqueness, and getting people their dollar’s worth. Everyone’s influences are different, but if you think about it long enough you’ll see that nearly everything we do is directly connected to influences that others had on us. The question is why am I so concerned with influencing people? I don’t have the answer, but I’ve never wanted anything more. What role does the word play in your life?

Well, you’ve grasped that super power. You’re surely a heavy influencer in the shoe culture and more.

My theory on why you’re so concerned with influencing people is that you’re so passionate about your ideas and visions so you want people to experience and uncover it, whether it’s a crazy pair of shoes or a mind-blowing song. Make sure that they’re seeing the best there is out there.

Just an idea though. Only you know the real answer.

Great Post, my favorite FFT to date.

It’s crazy when you think about it, what people strive for in the world. Me personally, I always want what I don’t have, and I don’t necessarily try to be someone I’m not but I do always want to improve on who I am. Everyone needs to strive to influence at least somebody at some point in their life, because if it wasn’t for influences, no one would be who they are today. This day in age, the word “original” is so hard to tag on somebody, because very few if ANY are able to create something or be something that has never been seen before. We are all combinations of little bits and pieces of other people who have influenced us throughout our entire lives. Therefore, I feel everyone has a little bit of passion for having the ability to influence others in life, because deep down inside, we would be nothing without the influences we’ve had from other people.

Not everyone is blessed with the ability to influence large numbers of people, however, and you have definitely proven to be an influential person on large amounts of people in the sneaker and fashion community. I myself have seen myself change a bit ever since being introduced to you last year through some of your sneaker collabs.

I feel that everyone should try to be influential to at least one person in life, because knowing that you’ve contributed in changing somebody’s life can be the greatest pleasure.
