Ronnie Fieg is the owner and designer of Kith NYC, a footwear boutique with locations in NoHo and Brooklyn. Within the past year and a half, the brand has grown into a private sportswear label producing seasonal collections handmade in New York City. Ronnie grew up in Queens, and has resided in the New York City area throughout his life, offering him experiences that have made his brand deeply rooted in genuine New York spirit. His travels worldwide have continued to offer broader insight to the designs he brings to the many special projects he is invited to create for brands such as Asics, Timberland, New Balance, Sebago, Doc Martens and many more. His story is still very much being told through both his ongoing collaborations with such brands, as well as the progression of his brand Kith – which is quickly becoming a staple shopping arena for both those involved in streetwear culture and quality footwear interest. His experiences graduating from stock to salesperson to manager to buyer to head buyer at his local shoestore taught him lessons about the importance of time and loyalty at a given company. Serving time in each role also provided him with a decade of knowledge of the ins and outs of running a business at every level, as well as communicating with a team and building brand trust and respect. This knowledge he’s carried, but adapted into his new ventures, adding his personal observations of the market over the years, thus creating a business based around a more in tuned customer awareness. Ronnie has been invited to host discussions at different campuses and conventions including FIT, Carnegie Mellon, and Carbon to discuss the importance of these virtues in his business models. He looks to the streets, the market, and the people for continued inspiration for a better business, and better product that communicate these beliefs best.
