If someone you care about betrays your trust it could feel worse than getting hit in the face with an iron bat. If you have someone who plays a major roll in your life and you could fully trust him/her, it could give you the piece of mind that people wish for. It’s the one word that holds more meaning than any other. It’s a pact could make or break any type of relationship. Throughout my life I have been burned so many times by friends and business associates that I now take a different approach when it comes to trusting new friends or business partners. I don’t trust anyone until they prove they are trustworthy. This way I waste a lot less time having to sort things out and re-evaluating people after each incident. If you have people you fully trust, make sure you value the relationships and hold on tight, they don’t come around too often.

This post should be longer, but it’s great because you can make a parallel with the concept of loyalty. It’s basically taking this post from the other point of view: “I’m a loyal person…” IMO being loyal is more important than anything, because after all the bullshit and the money and “what you can bring to people” is (are) gone, personality and intrisinct characteristics become key. Be loyal, if you can’t, go to church.
all it takes is once, broken trust, the closer the connec the worse the effect no doubt. i made it into my 20s incident free, but since one breach few yrs back, trust doesnt exist.
on the real the breach is only the beginning. all the analyzing, over-thinking, assumptions, holding back, 2nd looks that you have to do in every situation after that breach is where the real pain is. Used to be a care free cat, super loose, never havin to think my dudes would try to go Brutus on me but shit happens. now the littlest character flaw be it in a bird or a homie, mofuckin red flags poppin up left right n center. sad really that the world gotta spin that way
