Michiya Suzuki, the General Manager of Red Wing Japan came to my shop with the editor of 2nd Magazine (See cover and feature here) and the first thing i noticed was this bag he was wearing. Before they got to ask me questions i was already asking them where i could get the bag he was sporting and when he pulled out that wallet to hand me his card, i lost it. Mr. Suzuki said he would send me the bag and i didn’t know weather or not to believe him because he was so polite about it. When these two pieces showed up at my office I was like a little kid in a candy store. These pieces represent quality, if you understand quality leather you would know exactly what i mean and I am sure they are very pricey in Japan. A huge thank you to Michiya, i greatly appreciate the gifts.

Japan’s much respected 2nd magazine vol. 1 dedicates the entire issue to Red Wing Boot Company. A few of their editors came by the shop to check out my Red Wing exclusives and chop it up with me a bit. I wish i could read the content! Pick up the mag if you can, so many great styles in here. Red Wing Japan also sent me a few gifts that i will post later this week, stay tuned.

I’ve been waiting for a very long time for these boots to drop and we finally received them at David Z. today. The Wabasha Chukka and Boot are made with the same quality leather we are used to seeing from Red Wing along with a waxed rough and tough canvas. The boot is going for $240 and Chukka $220. They are extremely limited and will not last long, one of my favorite Red Wing styles to date.

#Fact – Red Wing will continue to monopolize the boot game next Fall/Winter as they are offering different types of boots to fit every person’s needs. These Postman’s are so clean and classic, a perfect boot and shoe for a suit or everyday wear. These are in very high demand in Japan and will most definitely have a similar reaction here in the states. Be on the look out for these around July/August of 2010. I’m going to be wearing the chukkas. Would you rock with these?

For this coming Fall Red Wing created 2 limited edition releases that are not in the catalog. The new Grey and Chocolate suedes will be available this August at select Red Wing retailers including David Z. They will also come with a second pair of leather laces which aren’t pictured here. You already know how i feel about these boots, Base.

If you know anything about me, you would know i live for these types of videos. Please pay attention to the craftsmanship that goes into making each pair of boots. We really take fashion for granted when it comes to Red Wing boots. Next time you’re wearing my Navy or Grey joints you could now walk with a limp. Dope.
